Abstract

Martínez-Echevarría maintains that human rationality cannot be reduced to the rationality of homo economicus, as it is structurally invariant and ignores aspects of human animality on which it rests; however, his proposal of rationality does not quite fit into some spaces of human behavior in which traditional economic models make sense. Minerva Ullate develops a critique of the anthropological models of neoclassical economic theories, following the concept of economic learning that incorporates concepts of moral learning. But, these authors unconsciously dilute the limits of economics as a scientific discipline and as a platform for politics.
