The purpose of this article is to examine the notion of values presented by Risieri Frondizi in the text "What are values?" In his dissertation he asks a fundamental question related to the subject: do things have value because we desire them or do we desire them because they have value? Before this, he makes a brief historical reflective journey, where we can appreciate the different ways, it has been conceived, while he points out the approaches of the subjectivist and objectivist doctrines, and then offers his own conception of values.
