The peace of a warrior of thought

The purpose of this paper is to answer the following question: Can the question about peace be found in the thought of Michel Foucault? To answer this, the paper's starting point is the traditional definition of peace as the absence of war, the central problem being that of power. It is then shown that the problem concerning power, making it possible to trace the initial question in Foucault's work, especially his work done during the seventies. The issue of peace, taken as absence of war, creates the problem of a "bio-power".The paper works on the foucaultian thesis of discourse, truth, power, discipline, technology of power, counter-power, and others.
