Within the framework of the onto-epistemology of Interpretative Systems, we investigate the role of Latin American education in enriching the meaning of what happens. In this first part we construct the Interpretative Context of a culture in which the holistic sense is possible. In a second article, we will present the construction of an Interpretative Context in which such global meaning is impossible. Thus we will show that this is the case of education in Latin America, which fails in its mission to cultivate the full meaning of individual and collective existence.
