Abstract

Several medievalists have set Ockham's thought inside the domains of skepticism. Indeed, some ockhamists propositions could justify this claim, specially the thesis of intuitive knowledge of inexisting objects. In relation to this last topic we will investigate whether this kind of intuitive knowledge justifies such skeptical interpretation. To do so, besides taking into account the author's considerations, we will deal with the controversy this topic has generated, given that some other medievalists deny any possibility of an association between Ockham's epistemology and skepticism.
