Abstract

The opposite pairs constitute the foundation of humanity's culture. This mythic mental model seems to be an original transcultural mechanism that in China was personified in yin and yang. Such original opposed energies form a complex network of symmetries which gives rise to the evolution and dynamicity of all-natural phenomena. Binary oppositions are the mythic-symbolic classifications which objectivity in correlations of the space-temporal cosmic continuous, like Heaven-Earth, Day-Night, or Sun-Moon. In mythical terms, Ying and yang symbolize the union of the pair goddess-god.
