This article explores the relevance of the notion of causation for a scientifically compromised metaphysics which takes dynamism as a basis, not substance or entities. The consideration about causality developed by Xavier Zubiri in Dynamic Structure of Reality is taken as a reference to focus the problem, define the notion and outline future philosophical questions or investigations in this regard, that could be enlightening and be applied in different fields of knowledge.
