Abstract

This work reviews some functions of this word (language) in the group of the philosophy of the language, activity as old as the same Philosophy. In particular, it explores, by means of examples, in what measure the word is an essential part of the knowledge, which is its status and reach, how and for what reason the interpretations settle down, and how, finally, they always propitiate the compression of a previous context given: the world. With the one added, clear, that the word also belongs to that world.
