Abstract

The goal of this article is to analyze the categories of projection and transference in Freud, using his analysis of the book "Memoires of my nervous illness" by Daniel P. Schreber. The author's question is if, in the case of Freud, his analysis of Schreber's book is a way to analyze his own paranoia, as a product of latent homosexuality. Therefore, the objective of this article is to clarify if the "transferential dimension" of Freud's analysis of Schreber's book has the character of a projection or not.
