Considering the premises realistic novel and intertextuality a thoughtful reading
of La piedra que era Cristo (The stone that was Christ) was carried out and it
was ascertained that in the book two types of statements coexist, those
pertaining the field of philosophy and those of the New Testament. By
establishing relations between them, a new and meaningful way was found to
rethink the novel up to now taken so little into consideration by the Venezuelan
literary or philosophical studies.
