Abstract

In this essay we offer an introduction to epistemic-interrogative logic; we discuss the fundamental concepts of the field together with some of its technical results and applications. We focus the attention in Hintikka’s logical theory even though some aspects of Wiśniewski’s inferential approach are considered. Some interrogative rules considered as modified version of Getzen sequent calculus are discussed in detail. Among the applications, we suggest a modification of the usual research methodology: the presupposition of research questions must be included together with them.
