Venezuelan students in a situation of human mobility and their inclusion in the ecuadorian Educational System

Abstract

This is an article from experiences of social and didactic action, it is part of the educational inclusion project for students who are in a situation of human mobility, it has been carried out by the Fundación Enseña Ecuador and the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) under the Design Thinking methodology (Design the change) which allowed to investigate, through innovation, several ideas for solving a problem, based first on the understanding of the real needs of the community. The objective set within the community project on which the article is based was "Build the foundations so that the Educational Institution is seen as an inclusive, safe and trustworthy place, for all its members regardless of their place of origin", being their The main result is that students consider the school as a safe, inclusive and trustworthy space, where they can freely express their opinions, practicing empathy and promoting inclusion in all its forms. We worked with a population of 343 students, of which 70 are of Venezuelan nationality.
