The environment, and in particular climate change, is a topic of global interest due to the diversity of problems that are arising and the deterioration of the planet. At the Andrés Bello Catholic University, starting in October 2015, a curricular unit related to the environment began to be implemented, called Ecology, Environment and Sustainability, which is taught to all undergraduate students in the fourth semester of their different careers. In the present exploratory study, the perception of climate change of the students of the Faculty of Engineering of said university, Montalbán-Caracas campus, who had taken at least 90% of the subject, was evaluated. It is concluded that the students consulted give importance to the environment, consider that it is threatened and that it is necessary to address its preservation as an immediate and urgent problem; They believe that ecological commitment has increased in recent years and that this commitment is increasing. On the other hand, they perceive a change in the climate in recent times due to both human activities and natural phenomena and consider that life on our planet is threatened by these changes, which are already visible.
