This edition of the Guayana Moderna magazine consists of 10 articles, 16 essays, the story of a teaching experience, a research note and two reviews.
In the first article Mental health of UCAB Guayana students, Aura Balbi, from the Center for Counseling and Human Development, proposed to determine the state of mental health of the students of the extension who attended the 2023 school year15. The Questionnaire was applied General Health in its GHQ-28 version, being answered by 165 students from different careers. Based on the subscales or dimensions, the results show that, in the order of impact on mental health, anxiety is first, psychosomatic symptoms and depression are second, and lastly social dysfunction. These results will make it possible to guide support strategies for students to address their mental health and promote their well-being.
