About the Journal
Tekhné Magazine, from the Faculty of Engineering of the Andrés Bello Catholic University, is a scientific publication aimed at a public interested in various areas of Engineering.
Its objective is to promote the exchange of information and ideas about research in engineering and other related areas and of experiences between teachers and professionals in relation to Higher Education in Engineering. In this sense, Tekhné magazine accepts manuscripts related to research in the area of engineering, related areas, educational innovation and engineering training.
Tekhné does not contemplate any fee for charging authors to accept or publish in the journal. It is published semiannually, where at least two (2) issues are published per year. First semester January-June. Second semester July-December.

The Tekhné journal is indexed in Revencyt, Latindex, Information matrix for journal analysis (MIAR), LatinRev and the articles are found on Google Scholar
Online Publication
The articles are submitted to arbitration in an approximate period of four weeks. If they meet the journal's standards and are accepted, they are published online one week after acceptance.

OPEN ACCESS STATEMENT
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.
DECLARATION ON ETHICS AND GOOD PRACTICES FOR PUBLICATION IN TEKHNÉ, JOURNAL OF THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING
Tekhné, Journal of the Faculty of Engineering assumes a firm commitment to the scientific community in order to be a faithful guarantor of the correct practices of a publication under ethical criteria and the quality of the published documents. The journal has as a basis and reference for such practices the Code of Conduct and Good Practices defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for editors of scientific journals. Likewise, it is responsible for offering responses tailored to the needs of readers and authors.
Tekhné, Magazine of the Faculty of Engineering seeks excellence in the quality of its publications, safeguarding and respecting the content and integrity of all its documents. The Editorial Committee undertakes to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when appropriate.
In compliance with its already consolidated good practices and others that it incorporates, Tekhné, Magazine of the Faculty of Engineering has a document selection system that is reviewed by external evaluators - anonymous and by peers - with criteria exclusively established by scientific relevance of the published document: originality, clarity, adaptation to style standards and relevance of the work presented.
The journal protects and guarantees at all times the confidentiality of the evaluation process, the anonymity of the evaluators and authors, the evaluated content, the reasoned report of the evaluators and any other communication issued. The Editorial Committee will resolve potential conflicts of interest, whatever their nature, to preserve the honorability of the parties involved.
Tekhné, Magazine of the Faculty of Engineering declares its commitment to the respect and integrity of the works already published on its digital platform.
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and texts that are identified as such, or whose content is proven fraudulent, or are not unpublished because their publication has been confirmed in other instances, will be eliminated from the journal if they have already been published or are in the process of being published. . In these cases, the magazine will act as quickly as possible.
By accepting the terms and agreements expressed by the journal, authors must guarantee that the written document and the materials associated with it are original and do not infringe copyright.
In case of shared authorship, the authors must justify in writing that there was full consensus of all of them to publish the document, that it has not been presented with minor modifications or variation of the title or previously published in another media, and allow its document is freely accessible through the electronic platform of Tekhné, Magazine of the Faculty of Engineering.
