Preservation

Guayana Moderna Journal supports Open Journal Systems 3.3.0.8, which guarantees the journal a permanent and secure archive, is an open source journal management software developed, powered and distributed free of charge by Public Knowledge Project under a GNU General Public License, which allows libraries to curate selected web journals by regularly searching registered journals to collect new published content and archive it. Each archive is continuously validated against records from other libraries, so any damaged or lost content can be restored using those records or the journal itself.

The journal includes a policy for the preservation of its articles, which is based on storing information in formats widely used today. This increases the likelihood that when a format becomes obsolete there will still be programs for its conversion: HTML and PDF are examples of these.

The digital preservation policy will be reviewed periodically by the journal's editorial team.
