Abstract

This essay shows general aspects related to the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, linked to Venezuela's current position in this regard; the theoretical foundations of the circular economy as a new development trend and its contrast with the linear economy are reviewed; the successful experiences of the Republic of Korea in relation to the ideal management of waste based on technical-institutional reports of the country and the location and advantages that Ciudad Guayana, in the southeast of Venezuela, presents to insert it into this new generation paradigm.
