Abstract

The general objective of this essay is aimed at analyzing ancestral knowledge and agricultural practices in rural communities, which corresponds to the review of a series of bibliographic sources that allowed supporting a series of ideas on points of interest of the subject, highlighting aspects that start from the conception about the value represented by the ancestral knowledge of indigenous communities in the promotion of their agricultural practices, which have been transmitted from generation to generation over the years. This knowledge and practices have been maintained over time mainly through oral transmission in rural communities, from which it is reflected that this knowledge is visualized in a different way, seeking in its essence the care of the planet for future generations, since that it will allow the reduction of predatory practices that are being applied to the field and that it will have repercussions throughout the planet.
