Considerations on a new perception of educational quality that constitutes values and educational equity

The educational demands established by the new social-political forces higher-educational institutions to graduate new citizens, that are tailored to the current cultural and axiology-related patterns. Besides, these institutions have the responsibility of preparing students to perform efficiently within society in their roles as citizens and professionals. Therefore, the transformation of the educational process has been an intricate and dependent process of social and political changes through the history of humanity. In the paper, the most important aspects of the educational process will be addressed reflexively, with a critical thinking approach. It is important to raise awareness of the sociocultural origins of the concept of education. This is a necessary condition to build alternative meanings for the term equality and its interpretations and denotation. Also, the essay addresses the role that critical pedagogy can play in the process of improving the term previously mentioned. Besides, a close look at these processes of evolution can highlight the key elements that lead to reflection on the transformation on the transformation that today's society demands in educational matters. Nowadays, COVID-19 has set a new assortment of challenges for teaching and schooling. Hence, the educational activities must be seen as an ever-changing process, that requires a transformation from all the parties involved. In addition to this, the pedagogical aspects and the new cultural scenarios demand a review of good educational practices.
