Abstract

Assuming that the migratory phenomenon represents a loss of human talent for Venezuela, this research analyzed the relationship of job expectations variables and the intention to emigrate of students of the UCAB Guayana from the last semester or year, facing the hypothesis that the job expectations shape the Push-Pull emigration factors, regardless of which expectations the students have, these will maintain an affirmative intention to emigrate. Assuming that both Push and Pull factors positively influence the intention to emigrate. Data collection was carried out through the application of a questionnaire with a dichotomous scale, corresponding to: Yes and No; formulated according to job expectations, based on the emigration factors Push and Pull, comparing them with the intention to emigrate, whether affirmative or negative: Yes or No; contrasting the variables for analysis. The sample was of 196 students, of whom 101 answered the questionnaire. This sample was homogeneous and the results confirm the null hypothesis, given that 86% of the students intend to emigrate from Venezuela, while the remaining 14% did not express the intention to emigrate, so the intention to expatriate varies indistinctly from the type job expectations maintained by UCAB Guayana's students.
