CHILDREN PROCREATED IN TEST: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN THE GATTACA FILM AND PLAYBACK TECHNIQUES CURRENT ATTENDED

This research was carried out with the objective of relating the assisted reproduction systems presented in the film Gattaca with the current assisted reproductive techniques (ART) in Ciudad Guayana, Caroní Municipality in order to compare the technological advances of assisted reproductive techniques and its ethical implications. The work presents a compilation of the techniques, which were analyzed under the critical theory of society, the theory of Charles Darwin, Evangelium Vitae and speeches by the Supreme Pontiff John Paul II, content analysis, types of code and theory by Hjelmslev. The study has a qualitative approach, specifically through a dialectical hermeneutical design, which allowed the researcher to interpret assisted reproductive techniques (ART) according to the matrices used in the comparative analysis. After conducting the comparative analysis, it was found that assisted reproductive techniques are still applied today and technological advances have developed tests to detect infertility in couples in time. In Gattaca, genes became the passport of any person's personal and work success, leaving equal opportunities and obtaining goals for personal merit in disuse. Niccol, transmitted this vision through the medium with the sole purpose of showing that society is harassed with the message that perfect genes were the only guarantee to be able to enjoy success and its privileges, either on earth or on a mission.
