EVALUATION AS A REFLECTION ON COMPETENCE-BASED CURRICULUM

The purpose of the research was to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the competencies model adopted by the School of Education in the Guayana extension of the UCAB. The study is important because it allowed us to detect strengths and weaknesses that will make it possible to take actions to strengthen the successes and correct the weaknesses, from the active participation of the actors: teachers, students and process managers. The methodology used consisted of describing the process in group meetings, suggest activities to develop and later, based on the interaction between teachers, obtain results from the applications in each classroom of class. As conclusions, it can be affirmed that teachers value the model from the perspective of greater student participation and responsibility, recognize that Competency training involves elements such as: introducing changes in the didactics and evaluation and that self and co-evaluation are indispensable processes in the acquisition of critical-reflective positions on training. Another condition associated with this The exploration process highlights the importance teachers attach to developing the programs developed by competencies around the training process and accompaniment reflection that is executed.
