The objective of this special degree work was to evaluate the incidence of seismic microzoning on the earthquake-resistant behavior of a reinforced concrete framed building used in different locations in Caracas based on the Covenin 1756-1:2019 standard. Analyzing the response of the structure in relation to the periods of vibration, the basal and derived shear forces. There will be short vibration periods that were identical in each one of the microzones and both for the basal shear forces and for the drifts it was evidenced that in the sites with rigid soil deposits the most unfavorable responses were presented, while in the sites of quasi-flat rocky outcrop the least unfavorable results were obtained. In addition, the analysis of the incidence of other parameters of seismic resistance behavior not considered and the analysis of another type of building with long periods was recommended.
