The passage of recent decades has shown a progressive rise in the dissemination, implementation and evaluation of sustainable development, along with the adoption of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices within the framework of business ethics. In this sense, this article aims to present how the concept of CSR has evolved, where the meaning it has taken on today is a product of its great applicability within organizations, due to the multiple benefits and advantages that its application brings. , not only for society but also for the company itself, its workers and its interest groups, among which the improvement of corporate image and reputation, risk prevention, consumer and client loyalty, the achievement of sustainability stand out.
