The present work proposes the conceptual bases for the study of the discourse of the media in Venezuela, particularly the digital press, in relation to the migratory process, the figure of the emigrant and the "diasporization process" (Friedman, 2003) experienced by the country during the last two decades, with a trend towards deepening since 2014. For this, the Framing Theory will be taken as a reference in its interpretative current (Vicente y López, 2009; Van Gorp, 2007), to analyze the informative treatment offered around the theme through the digital versions of national newspapers. It is understood that the Venezuelan migratory process has been unique when compared to others in Latin America, to which is added the traditional condition of Venezuela as a receiving country for immigrants.
