Abstract

In this theoretical research work the objective was the analysis and comparison of the different methods and technologies to produce green hydrogen, from seawater, using solar cells as an energy source. To achieve the objective, an extensive bibliographic review was carried out, which allowed establishing and choosing both the components (electrolyzes and electrocatalysts) of the systems used for the seawater electrolysis process, as well as the methods associated with it, taking into consideration possible corrosive processes involved. Indicators such as current density, stability, useful lifetime were analyzed, to finally select an integral system where the external energy source is indicated: (solar cell), direct sea water (DES), as electrolyzes and electrocatalyst: Ni-NiO-Cr2O3 hybrid and a NiFe/NiSx-Ni anode.
