Abstract

This work explores the relationships between the practice of Environmental Impact Assessment and the organization established to carry out these evaluations, with the principles of sustainable development and bioethical aspects. The exploration was carried out through the consultation of significant texts and authors that establish some connections between these elements, which are interpreted by the author. The most significant features of the practice of Environmental Impact Assessment in Venezuela are established, as well as the institutional organization for its development, the connections between it and Sustainable Development are explored, analyzing evidence provided by previous works and finding positive connections. . The relationships between the institutional organization for the practice of Environmental Impact Assessments and bioethical aspects are also explored, analyzing the references of Potter and Alicardi and finding important connections between the practice of Environmental Impact Assessment and bioethical principles.
