University Student Performance. Systemic and Complex Vision and Proposals for its Improvement

Abstract

A documentary review was carried out regarding the academic performance of university students based on studies carried out in various countries and careers, including engineering, during the 21st century. The studies cited agree in defining performance as the student's grade and allow the identification of factors that influence said value. A systemic and complex vision of student performance is proposed and training programs for students and teachers, as well as institutional guidelines, are recommended, which could contribute to better performance of university students.
