A lesson plan for the contents of motion, simple machines, strength and balance of Natural Sciences course for the first year of high school using Educational Robotics under the Science, Technology and Society (STS) approach.
Abstract
This paper is a didactic proposal for Natural Sciences course, which is a subject of the 1st year of high school, using Educational Robotics with a Science,Technology and Society (STS) approach. The aim of this proposal is to present simulated situations to students to allow them to analyze, study, understand, and seek possible solutions to solve those cases with the employ of technologies;students shall apply knowledge on the contents of motion, simple machines, strength and balance that involves the use of science for technological design that allows the solution of a social problem. The methodology followed was the instructional development by Szczureck (1989) which consists of several steps: diagnosis of the problem situation, proposal design, validation and implementation of the proposal. This research was reached only to the validation of the proposal.
