Abstract

The main objective of this article is to present a view on the influence of religious ideology on interpersonal communication. To understand this connection, he relied mainly on the theoretical foundations of Ricoer, Wolf, Tugendhat, and Berger. The methodology used was based on the qualitative approach and field research. To obtain the information, a semi-structured interview was applied to a study population consisting of ten subjects; The responses were systematized to obtain four categories that were the focus of the analysis. In conclusion, it was established that religious ideology can exert influence on communication and interpersonal relationships, generating certain tensions, dilemmas, and rejection between the parties, which becomes evident through discourse. This occurs if there are no principles of respect, tolerance, and empathy towards others.
