Abstract

Today it is not possible to predict the
position in which a seismic event occurs,
Therefore, there is a wide range of
possible directions in which an earthquake can
affect a structure. This represents
a problem since different
responses depending on the Line of Action
of Force (LAF) of the seismic load, leaving
as unknown the direction in which
produce the most adverse effects on
structure, such as, the elderly
possible movements and efforts in their
items. Through the methods
employed in this work can determine the LAF of a seismic load that
produces the most flexo-torsional response
extreme in relation to the greatest efforts
shears in columns, when observing certain
patterns that occur in all
Possible movements of the Centers
Masses (CM) of each level.
This has great relevance today in
day for structural engineering since it is
need to delve deeper into the topic
of flexion-torsion to perform analysis
structural conditions under the most
extremes that may occur during a
earthquake, and thus, foresee undesirable effects on
important elements of the structure such as
the columns, so that it can be done
in a clearer and less complex way
structural optimization process.
