Abstract

Based on the theoretical proposals on the concept of sovereignty formulated by authors such as Carl Schmitt, George Bataille, Maurice Blanchot and Giorgio Agamben, this essay aims to reflect upon the hypothesis that literary topology is a state of exception. To do so, we will try, firstly, to review the concept of sovereignty and, secondly, to observe its operation within what we call literature.

Keywords: sovereignty, literature, state of exception, literary topology.
