Within the framework of the pedagogical paradigm change driven by Learning and Knowledge Technologies, by the dynamic of the current society and the needs of the cyber-student, this article proposes a feasible investigative exercise that can be carried out in a university classroom. Specifically, it simulates a study of the metaphors activated by women at the time of the beginning of the Hispanic population. To achieve the objective, we work with the Project-Based Learning strategy and with epistles from the 16th century compiled by Enrique Otte in his book Cartas privadas de emigrantes a Indias, 1540-1616.
