Emotional eating and internalization of the ideal body in Spanish and Venezuelan college students between the age of 18 and 25

The aim of this study is to know and deepen the subjective experience of emotional hunger and the internalization of the ideal body in Spanish and Venezuelan male university students between 18 and 25 years of age. For this purpose, a qualitative study framed in the constructivist paradigm and a phenomenological design was undertaken, using the constant comparative method as a method of information analysis. Participants were considered to be university students from Venezuela and Spain, between 18 and 25 years of age. When delving into the subjective experience of the participants regarding emotional hunger, it was found that these are based on the experience they have had regarding social pressure, their physical appearance, eating habits and among other factors that have been forming a perception of their own image and the emotions associated with their eating.
