The Temas de Comunicación journal signs the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA)
DECLARATION ON RESEARCH ASSESSMENT (DORA):
The Temas de Comunicación Journal, affiliated with the Institute for Information and Communication Research (IDICI) of the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB), reaffirms its commitment to excellence and integrity in scientific research.
Therefore, in line with the principles of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), we recognize that the quality and impact of research should not be measured solely by the journal impact factor or other bibliometric indicators. In this regard, we commit to:
- Evaluate research considering a variety of qualitative and quantitative indicators, including societal relevance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribution to the advancement of knowledge.
- Promote transparent and fair peer review practices.
- Recognize and value the diversity of research outputs, such as open data, software, patents, and contributions to public policy.
- Support our research staff in developing responsible and ethical practices. We invite other institutions to join this commitment to a more fair, inclusive, and responsible evaluation of research, for the benefit of society and scientific advancement.
