Abstract

This article addresses the importance of Industrial and Labor Relations as a versatile career path that opens international opportunities for young people. It highlights the influence of technology on academic and professional decision-making and focuses on the global crisis which drives young individuals to seek opportunities abroad. Throughout this article, I tell my experience as a young Venezuelan studying Industrial Relations and how this choice allowed me to broaden my professional and academic horizons, culminating in a Master's in Human Resources Management and an internship at the International Labour Organization.
