Abstract

This study concems the feminine presence in the different
environments of the Venezuelan colonial society in the
eighteenthcentury.Rangingfromthe devotedwifetotheunruly
womanwho,eitherbyvocationorbysoci:llpressure,enteredthe
convent, this study porraits them in their different social levels and in their perfomances which were almost always related to the religiousactivity of theera.
