Centeno, Loynaz y Roncajolo ingenieros-arquitectos del ferrocarril del Táchira, 1904-1926

Abstract

In this aricle, technical contributions ofEng. MelchorCenteno
Grau, Enrique Loynaz Sucre and Alberto Roncajolo are historically
valued in the transportation experience of Táchira's
Railvay Company. Betveen 1904 and 1926, those engineers
and architects were in charged to organize the agricultural
exporation duties, acting in different fields as their own
railing, projecting and building of different constructions, the
building and the company's management. In this aricle,
besides presenting a description of such contributions, it is
intended to discuss the meanings of limitations imposed by
technical operations distance of the engineers with goods
production centers, the eventualities that the coffee and other
commercial traffic generates, and the public image of progress
that the company wants to show.
