Abstract

This work by Dr. Manuel Donís Ríos presents, as the author indicates, “an overview of the history of Venezuela's maritime spaces and the acts of sovereignty in such space”, focusing the historiographic discourse on that medium that served to connect the old and new worlds and that also witnessed the most tenacious feats: the maritime spaces. Therefore, this book has approached the “original maritime vocation of Venezuela” from an accurate dimension.
