Abstract

Almost 60 years ago, four generations of Venezuelans ago and at the beginning of his presidential mandate, Raul Leoni declared the following: "I was not called to power as a product of an adventure, nor by the passing emotion of a euphoric moment and much less by personal and interested machinations". It is impossible for me, therefore, not to extrapolate his teaching to our time kidnapped by adventurers, by emotions and bitterness that cloud the understanding, by a media voluntarism in which narcissism dominates and where the gradual dissolution or trivialization of our moral codes takes place.
