Abstract

In the conference given at the 1st Assembly of the Pastoral of Communication in the Archdiocese of Caracas, held in the Parish of San José de El Ávila on June 30, 2023, the speaker condenses the communicative characteristics of Pope Francis, as a religious leader, since his ascension in 2013 to the pontificate. Within the framework of the Vatican State and the context of new information and communication technologies, it has its presentation in three sections: first it summarizes the current state of the information and communication infrastructures of the Holy See, then it describes the Vatican strategies in the field of Social Networks, and finally it analyzes the semiotic features of Pope Francis in his messages.
