In this article we only intend an approach to the global vision of the authors and books that the Jesuits residing in Bogotá could handle until the expulsion of 1767, in the so-called "Jesuit Block", where all the houses and activities of the Company were located. of Jesus. We make a quantitative and thematic analysis to describe the sense of science through the authors reviewed. Our research on the bibliographical repertoire found in the Jesuit block has the final objective of discovering the works of the members of the Society of Jesus itself read at the Javeriana University. Also trace the works and ideas of the authors of other religious orders and foreign thinkers who fed the studies of researchers and teachers who worked in the New Kingdom of Granada between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries.
