Abstract

Having published Dr. Gabriel Picón Febres his chronicle on the crime of Gregorio Rivera in 1921, Don Tulio Febres Cordero publishes his own story in 1923, based on materials found in the archives of the Mérida State and the Diocese. of Merida. The story refers to Don Gregorio de Rivera y Sologuren, who after committing a crime, was sentenced to death; but —according to the text— he obtained from the Blessed Virgin the grace to make lost things appear, to anyone who made a vote for the salvation of his soul.
