Abstract

It is evident that violence in its various forms has a devastating impact on the mental and emotional health of young people. The lack of spaces to talk about emotions and difficult experiences, as well as the normalization of suffering, are factors that contribute to this crisis. This article summarizes the activity carried out at the first UCAB Psychosocial Camp, where workshops have been implemented to help children and adolescents manage their emotions and foster assertiveness, as a positive step towards creating a healthier and more supportive environment. It is critical that adults, especially parents, feel empowered to talk about these issues and provide the emotional support that children need. Education and awareness are key to breaking the cycle of violence and promoting healthy emotional development.
