Labor discrimination during the selection process represents the first access barrier for people to access jobs, this is usually more frequent for homosexual people, who experience different forms of discrimination and segregation in their work contexts. This article based on qualitative research, whose main purpose was to develop the subjective senses of the workers in charge of the selection of personnel on discrimination against homosexual people, in companies of the state of Lara. Proved in the analysis of the information that the subjective senses of those in charge of the selection of personnel are related to the socio-historical factors of the Venezuelan culture, which are linked to conservatism and discrimination, which has been normalized through prejudices and stereotyped comments that do not escape the work context, reflecting organizational processes with hierarchical structures with a dominant authority and rigid verticals, which involves complex selection processes for to socially excluded groups, such as homosexuals, reflecting that those in charge of personnel selection have been internalizing elements of the strong conservative organizational culture characteristic of the Lara state companies in which they work, adapting to said premises through implicit codes of behavior that, despite not being openly recognized by these, constitute manifestations of discrimination.
