Community Ecosophical Proposal for Resilience and Integral Disaster Risk Management in the Guarenas-Guatire Axis

Abstract

The debate about how to think the community is as present today as more than thirty years ago. A brief foray into the debate of the community would be the main goal of this article, illustrating its complex interdependence with concepts such as gift, debt, friendship, the Other and individuality. It is not expected to discover something groundbreaking or offer a definite response to the myriad of challenges that underpin the problem of the community, but instead to shed light over the concepts implicit in this problem which are neglected or taken as given. The first section would discuss the modes of exchange and the link between the myth of the origin, fear and sacrifice. Next, it will delve into the French debate that delves into the idea of exteriority. In the third section, certain theories on fraternity will be studied from a quantitative perspective. The fourth section will discuss and question some assumptions about the distances between the singularity of the individual and the plurality of the group. Finally, some reflections will be dedicated to the political movements that are most concerned by the problem of the community.
