Abstract

The article reflects on the characteristics of the internal communication in the organisations, making emphasis on the informal part of this process. The authors describe the main concepts of internal communication as well as its different manifestations (downwards, horizontal, upwards and transversal) and links this with the informal structure of the organisation. It defines this as the spontaneous flow of messages. The article flags to ke elements in all this; the informal leaders and the rumours. The article argues that both the informal structure and the interpreters of those structures are part of the parallel structure which is called cultural net. This last has a hidden hierarchy which will be manifest in the overall cultural organisation.

Recibido: 30/11/2010
Aprobado: 20/05/2011
ER -
