La primera en 1985 y la segunda, diez años después en 1996. Se toma en cuenta la realidad sociopolítica y económica del país y el papel de episcopado frente a los más graves problemas. El carisma del Papa y su mensaje dejaron huella positiva en la población, sin distingos de credos religiosos o políticos. Sus homilías, discursos y alocuciones nos permiten apreciar su contenido evangelizador y su intención de motivar la conversión personal con el objeto de renovar las instituciones en procura de la paz, la justicia y el bienestar de los venezolanos. The first in 1985 and the second, ten years later in 1996. The socio-political and economic reality of the country and the role of the episcopate in the face of the most serious problems are considered. The Pope’s charisma and his message left a positive mark on the population, without distinction of religious or political creeds. His homilies, speeches and addresses allow us to appreciate its evangelizing content and its intention to motivate personal conversion in order to renew the institutions in search of peace, justice and well-being of Venezuelans.
