Para ello seguimos el siguiente esquema. I) El marco del “humanismo” jesuítico se centra en la denominada “República de las Letras” pues, fuera de las ciencias, ésta disciplina constituyó el único prestigio social e intelectual hasta mediados del siglo XVIII. II) Las fuentes: Tratamos de recoger la amplísima bibliografía que existe sobre el tema y para ello recurrimos a las fuentes documentales que recogen los textos originales y en segundo lugar la extensa producción de lo que podríamos designar como los aportes interpretativos. III) En este apartado se estudia la realidad del “colegio indiano” que descansaba sobre cuatro pilares: el Rector, el Profesor, el Prefecto de Iglesia y el Procurador. Y se completaba por la resultante de una cuádruple unidad: de dirección, de profesor, de método y de materia. IV) La organización escolar. V) Los métodos de enseñanza y su didáctica. Formación integral.</p><p><strong>Abstract:</strong></p><p>We present an overview of what it meant Jesuit education in Venezuela vision. So we follow the following scheme. I) The framework of "humanism" Jesuitical focuses on the so-called "Republic of Letters" because, outside of science, this discipline was the only social and intellectual prestige to the mid-eighteenth century. II) Sources: We try to collect the vast bibliography on the subject and for this we turn to the documentary sources that collect the original texts and secondly the extensive production of what we might call the interpretive contributions. The Rector, Professor, the Prefect of Church and Attorney: III) In this section the reality of "Indian school" resting on four pillars is studied. And it was completed by the result of a quad unit: management, teaching, method and subject. IV) The school organization. The V) Teaching methods and didactics. VI) The comprehensive training.
